“What would happen if she had a melt down?”
I turn my head sharply, then back at the paper and continue the draw.
“Hard to say, but she won’t, I assure you of that. I went over everything, multiple times. She’s harmless as long as we care for her and don’t ignore her needs.”
Dominick then rolls up to the table and speaks as well, “If she had a meltdown the world would be no…”
I cut him off sharply, “It won’t happen, guys! Look at how well she is built. Look at what she can do even. She’s safe end of discussion.”
I was so redundant back then, I swear I still laugh at myself looking back at it, but what can I say. You had to be that way for anything to even happen, though I knew very well what could happen if she did have a meltdown but I couldn’t let it bother me at the time. She was barley built yet I had to move it out of my mind.

After that mess occurs, I pay no mind to them as they go about talking and watching the Millennia being built. I am to busy fixing everything, going over the blue prints, again and again. One mistake could ruin everything, so I spend most of the day making sure I don’t make one. The cat makes me stop occasionally and laugh, rubbing against my leg constantly while I work. It is around seven pm when the phone rings.
I don’t stop to get it, too focused; Marvin gets it instead, and then says to me, “It’s your brother.”
I am rather confused at this point, so I take the phone and talk.
“Belteic?  Is something wrong?”
He is quiet yet serious when he talks, like always.
“Your cyber-biological parts, have they been made yet? And tested.”
I explain to him what happened to the blue prints and tell him I am a bit behind on the project because of it.
“Ah I see…well then I suggest you make haste, Cytrex, The Millennia will be done sooner than you can believe.”
“I couldn’t agree more.”
He hangs up before I could say goodbye, but he never says goodbye. I look at the clock, 8:04 pm. I have so much work to make up. I don’t drag my feet, and I get back to my workbench and start to work on my pieces again.
